MFAS will be staging a scintillating Carnatic Music Concert by Dr. Sumithra Vasudev & Party to celebrate the 250th/251st Birth Anniversary of the legendary Music Composer & Singer, Shri. Muthuswamy Dikshitar - "one of the Trinities of Carnatic Music".

Dr Sumithra Vasudev is a classical Carnatic vocalist and prime disciple of Sangita Kalanidhi Smt. R. Vedavalli. Training under her in the Gurukula style for over two decades, she has imbibed the rich tradition and style that marks her guru’s music. Her music stands out for its classicism and depth, with emphasis on manodharma within the specified lakshana. Niraval, Vrttam and Ragam Thanam Pallavi are special areas that portray her own style as well as her great lineage.
